One is neither a prime nor a composite number because a prime number has to be a dividend of only one and itself.

The only even number that is prime is 2. the even numbers are 2, 4, 6, 8, etc. Any other even number is also going to be divisible by two., so it won't be prime.

I like the example that He gave of 51, just because it is odd doesn't mean it is prime, you have to make sure and check all the possibilities.

Two is the only even number that is prime. One is the only number that is neither prime nor composite, because to be prime it has to have only two factors. To be composite it needs to have more than two factors.
